SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Gaming Innovations Group Inc. (GIG) approved the launch of a sportsbook that Iowa residents can access from their mobile devices. This new venture will offer bettors the opportunity to wager from anywhere within Iowa state lines as well as at the physical sportsbook inside of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City in Iowa that launched a few months ago.
The launch of the sportsbook means that Hard Rock can now propose the same exact experience to Iowa bettors as it delivered to the state of New Jersey.
After the launching of this new project, Chris Armes, Chief Information Officer at GiG said, “The project went live smoothly after many weeks of hard work from both GiG and Hard Rock. We are pleased to entertain consumers with a safe and exciting first-class Omni channel sports betting experience.”
Iowa is one of the states in the US that when it comes to gambling they are very understanding and compassionate. Both land-based and online sports betting are legalized in Iowa and they were able to launch the industry before the start of the 2019 NFL season.
